The 2017 Scranton Fringe Festival is proud to announce its visual art component, returning for its second year! The 2017 Scranton Fringe will be held September 27th – October 1st 2017 throughout downtown Scranton. The visual exhibit will be on display on the first floor of the AFA Gallery (514 Lackawanna Ave) in downtown Scranton.
Eligibility
All artists 18 years of age or older, who live within 200 miles of Scranton, Pa., or reside within Pennsylvania are eligible to apply. Submissions must be original artwork.
Entries
Entries can be either two-dimensional (2-D) or three-dimensional (3-D). Works will be selected on the basis of originality, execution and space available. Work will be juried from digital images only. The images must bear an accurate and fair representation of the artwork. Each artist may submit up to three (3) works. Artists submitting 3-D work may provide two (2) images per entry. 2-D entries should not exceed 48 inches high and 36 inches wide. 3-D entries should not exceed 24 inches wide, 24 inches long and 36 inches high. Entry should weight no more than 40 lbs including base. Installation art will not be accepted.
There is no entry fee.
Only work from the accepted images will be exhibited. All accepted work must be ready to display. All work that will be hung on a wall must be wired on the back. No sawtooth brackets. All 3-D work must have proper base. Scranton Fringe Festival reserves the right not to include work submitted in inappropriate condition or work not accurately represented in digital submission. Artists are responsible for transporting work to and from the gallery.
