Visual Arts @ 2015 Scranton Fringe Festival

Visual Arts @ 2015 Scranton Fringe Festival

The Inaugural Scranton Fringe Festival is taking place October 1st – 4th, 2015 in a dozen venues across downtown Scranton. The Scranton Fringe is a performing arts based festival inspired by the original Fringe festival, which was founded in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1947. These types of events focus on providing an open, uncensored platform for artistic expression as well as a supportive network that helps to connect fledgling artists, performers, directors, and audiences.
The Scranton Fringe Festival is dedicated to creating a platform of bold and original performing arts. While we highly value the visual arts, this is not the core focus of our mission –
HOWEVER,
There are still a few ways for visual based artists/ artisans / crafters / etc. to take part in the first ever Scranton Fringe Festival!
RitzBuilding

The Ritz Building (location of Scranton Fringe 2015 HQ)

1. Join us as an artist at our 2015 Fringe HQ. Your work could be displayed throughout the month (Fringe HQ office hours pending) and be featured during both September 2015 and October 2015  Scranton First Friday art walks. Fringe HQ will be located within the historic Ritz Building, at 222 Wyoming Avenue in downtown Scranton. This location will be a hub of the festival, including foot traffic from: performers and volunteers at Fringe HQ, lunch and dinner patrons at button sponsor Terra Preta, and audiences attending shows at the venue space upstairs.

2. Apply to become a vendor at the October 1st Preview/Kick-Off party! The Preview/Kick-Off party will be held at The Leonard Theater (335 Adams Ave) on October 1st 2015 (6pm – 9pm). The party will feature preview performances of shows within the Fringe festival, light fare and arts based vendors. This party will be heavily promoted + open to the public to attend for free.
