Story Telling with Canvases RATED PG
Created/Performed by Rachel M. Mercuri
A reading/telling of a story about a girl’s response to her grandfather’s death supported by mixed media canvas illustrations. The story is set (loosely) in Papua New Guinea, inspired by the artist’s journey in August of 2000. The homes in the village she visited were woven from straw. Music, storytelling and weaving are all core elements of this intimate performance event.

Interdisciplinary / Visual Art/Theater
Hosted by Katie Kelly
A great display of NEPA musical talent. All local, all independent and all original songwriters will perform their own works in this intimate and stripped down musical showcase. This showcase will be hosted by singer/songwriter Katie Kelly (a regionally based artist whom many compare to the voices of Ani Difranco, Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, or Patsy Cline). Support local music and the artists who create it by attending this showcase!
