The countdown has begun, and the excitement is building as the 9th Annual Scranton Fringe Festival prepares to hit numerous venues in downtown Scranton from September 28th through October 7th! This year’s festival promises to be a celebration of creativity, culture, and community.
Scranton Fringe is an award-winning arts organization producing innovative work since 2015, dedicated to creating a bold, engaging platform for thought-provoking art while striving to promote Northeast Pennsylvania as a viable creative environment.
Inspired by the world’s largest annual event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the organization has grown into a year round incubator of unique creative work centered around the performing arts including main-stage professional productions, free workshops for teenagers, an innovative COVID safe approach to live theatre called Fringe Under Glass, and much more!
From Vogue, to the Washington Post, to Spotlight PA – the creative work of Scranton Fringe has been making a splash for nearly ten years!
The Scranton Fringe Festival is a diverse mix of theater, music, visual arts, and more. With events spanning across six venues, such as the Scranton Cultural Center, the Scranton Shakespeare Festival Space, Lackawanna College, the County Children’s Library, and more – there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
