To further our mission of advancing the arts and cultural scene of Northeast PA, Scranton Fringe is proud to present its own community arts calendar! In addition to our performances and special events – anyone can submit a local arts event to be added to this calendar, free of charge!
Music, theater, comedy, dance, workshops, cultural gatherings, etc are encouraged to add to the calendar.

True Colors: A Celebration of Queer History and Expression

October is national LGBTQ+ History Month and the Afa Gallery is highlighting our local queer community! We would be honored to have you participate in our upcoming exhibit – True Colors: A Celebration of Queer History and Expression.
All are welcome to submit work to our open art call. Submissions will be accepted September 15th – 17th from 11am to 3pm at the Afa Gallery – 101 Penn Ave. Scranton PA 18503. We ask that your art be relevant to the celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.
Submissions will be limited to 4 (four) pieces and our standard submission fees will be collected at the time of drop-off – $10 for the first work, $5 for subsequent works.
All wall hanging art must be wired and ready to hang; all art must include identification – Artist Name, Title, Medium, and Price as well as a means of contact for the artist.
The Afa Gallery will collect a 30% commission on works whose sale is brokered by the gallery.
The exhibit is set to open on September 28th, with our First Friday reception on October 6th and our closing day on October 29th.
