They meet in an elementary school nurse's office: Kayleen- a strong-willed, young girl with a never-ending stomach ache, and Doug- a hyperactive young boy with a propensity for bloody injuries. Over the course of thirty years, they're brought together again and again by love, injury, and their own self-destructive tendencies. Can they save one another from themselves?
