TAKING UP SPACE
Taking Up Space is a film festival within Scranton Fringe Festival that showcases the works of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color) filmmakers. The mission of Taking Up Space is to lift the voices of historically excluded racial and ethnic narratives. Documentary, narratives, animation, experimental, and all other genres of short films will be highlighted. Thanks to a generous donation from PA American Water, all 2024 screenings are presented free to the public.
This special venture is presented by Park Multimedia, Black Scranton Project, and Scranton Fringe. The artistic director of Taking Up Space is Dan Kimbrough.

The HoodTrophy Bino Story: Breaking the Generational Curse (Director - Sam "Gebar" Gebremiche)
Made by History: Commemorating the Children's Crusade (Director - Kyle Mackenzie Sullivan)
The Road to Lilith (Director - Liz Sweeney)
Friday, October 4th at 7:00 pm (free reception prior to screening)
Saturday, October 5th at 7:00 pm
at the Lackawanna County's Electric City Trolley Museum (300 Cliff Street, Scranton PA)

FREE EVENT - BUT RESERVATIONS APPRECIATED!
Free shuttle service to the Trolley Museum will be available on Friday, October 4th with pick-up/drop off to other Scranton Fringe venues. Check back soon for further details!
