SCRANTON FRINGE Launches Casting Call for role in show touring to Edinburgh Fringe Fest 2026

CASTING ROLE FOR EDINBURGH FRINGE FEST 2026

SCRANTON, PA (March 2026) – Scranton Fringe, in collaboration with New Vintage Ensemble, is seeking a replacement actor to join an established ensemble of four other performers for our production Ulysses of Scranton at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026 (Scotland, UK).

This is a specific opportunity for an actor who is already committed to being in Edinburgh for Fringe 2026 and has their own housing secured for the run. The ideal candidate is a strong, nimble performer who is already performing in another show at Fringe and can confidently manage multiple shows in a day.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Ulysses of Scranton is a fast-moving, ensemble-driven adaptation inspired by James Joyce’s Ulysses, reimagined through a Scranton lens—part literary love letter, part behind-the-scenes theatrical engine. The show premiered at the 2025 Scranton Fringe Festival and then toured to Ballina, Ireland, for a successful run, building momentum toward its 2026 Edinburgh presentation.

Scranton Fringe is Northeastern Pennsylvania’s home for adventurous performance—producing year-round theatre, events, and community programs, and presenting the annual Scranton Fringe Festival (citywide, multi-venue) each fall. We champion new work, bold collaborations, and “radical hospitality” for artists and audiences alike. This Edinburgh run is co-produced with New Vintage Ensemble.
