Attention passengers traveling to Moscow: Please proceed to your departure gate.
Set in an airport terminal, this bold, new adaptation of Chekhov's Three Sisters follows Olga, Masha, and Irina as they prepare to board their long-awaited flight to Moscow. At first, the play dances with Chekhov's rhythms intact. Then, it breaks open as Chekhov's sisters become three women carrying their own histories of displacement from Vietnam, India, Peru, and more. By boat, by train, on foot, and still... they wait. Blending Chekhov's text with poetry and firsthand accounts, this reimagining explores longing, hope, and the enduring search for home. Created by artists with ancestral connections to migration and displacement, this adaptation seeks to humanize experiences too often reduced to headlines, statistics, or nothing at all.
Boarding will begin shortly.
