Part Ghost Story, Part Reckoning. 'Rue' brings forward a modern Ophelia in purgatory as she faces her Brother, Father, and Former Lover in order to find herself and the truth. Full of Lush poetry and prose, 'Rue' creates a unique story all its own while giving a nod to the Shakespearean tragedy.

Ophelia finds herself awake in a nowhere space, soaked in water. She remembers very little of her death or how it happened. She is joined by two figures, representing her hidden thoughts. She struggles to be faithful to herself and her own choices while confronting her Brother, Her father, and Her former lover. All in the hopes that she can break free from the sinking feeling that she may have died of her own actions. Her struggles with self acceptance, mental illness, and familial ties come to light as she wrestles through accepting herself and her choices. Even in death, maybe even especially in death, her choices matter.
